2 T. canola oil 1 tsp. brown sugar 1 med. onion, finely diced 1 c. tomato puree Vz green pepper, finely diced 1/2 c. ketchup 2 cloves garlic, minced c. water 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt or to taste ‘h tsp. cayenne pepper (opt.) 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 lb. 90, lean ground beef or 4 hamburger buns turkey Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion and green pepper. Saute until softeneci. Add garlic, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Saute for 1 minute and add beef. Cook just until beef is no longer pink. Acid rest of ingredients (except buns) and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve on hamburger buns.
